Our four course gourmet breakfasts, which consists of freshly cut fruit, assorted juices, homemade breads and muffins, an entrée and a special treat at the end, are always elegantly served on fine china with silver and crystal on fine linens. However, during the warmer months the guests have a choice to dine in one of our less formal areas such as the sunroom or back deck overlooking the garden.
We have served a variety of entrees to fellow Innkeepers, several chefs, restaurant critics, cookbook writers as well as many guests all of whom have given us wonderful compliments.
We pride ourselves in trying not to serve the same breakfast to our returning guests. This challenges us to always be looking for new recipes so as to keep our Inn an inviting place for a return visit.
Early Morning Beverage
Because we have early morning risers, we offer beverages before the morning breakfast that they may take to the beach while they stroll along the ocean’s edge or to take upstairs to their room while they read the morning paper.
Afternoon Tea
Like the Victorians who enjoyed refreshments along with a “cuppa” before their dinner hour, from 4-5 pm we offer assorted teas served in fine china teacups/saucers. Along with this, we serve delectable desserts such Red Velvet cake, Victorian Bird’s Nest, Chocolate éclairs, pecan squares, cheesecakes or chocolate covered strawberries along with fresh fruit. These treats are served on a tea tier or other fine serving dishes.
